How many here are actual backyarders vs. Farmers?

Guess I would be considered a backyarder/hobbyist with a LARGE back yard since we only keep chickens, ducks and turkeys-no large livestock.

I think I may be both pretty soon.I live on a 100 acre farm but have the chickens and other farm animals at my house with only about 1.5 acres not in use for crops. Where we live the city is closing in fast and our two lane hwy may soon be four. i listen closely when you guys speak about restrictions and problems. That could very well be in my future.

Eh both? I live on the edge of town with 21 acres, but I'm not raising any serious meat/veggie crops yet. I see small slabs of bacon running around on my pasture in the near future though

Backyarder (soon to be a FRONT yard poultry keeper, because I'm moving to a rural area, and my house has virtually no back yard - it is set well back so all the property is to the front of the house) with chickens, ducks and now 2 geese.

No farming here. Hobbyist, although I do sell some eggs now and again.

I'm not sure....friends call it my farm...but I don't see it that way! It's an acre...but not in city limits or even close. The closest convenience store is 7 miles away.Anyway, I do sell eggs, live birds and have 4 kinds of poultry now...I call it "My Hobby Farm"...

I'm not quite sure, either. I have a large garden that I can from and also sell produce from. I have meat chickens and layers. I have quite a little egg business going. I don't have any large farm animals, though. I'd love some milk goats! I think of it as a hobby farm. So can I be a hobby farmer?
