How many here have seen tornadoes?

Pictures don't even begin to tell what it looked like in person. Took out basically the whole town. We have friends who live there and went to help.

Things are cleaned up now for the most part, but the town won't ever be the same.

me and my family were on vacation while driving through oklahoma or texas and were were cought right in the eye of the tornado it was pitch black and sound like someone was taking a jack hammer right to the car, lol we put pellows up on all the windows and every1 huddled right in the middle of the fan it was scary

..and what can you do to protect yourself and animals when something like that comes?...its just so scary! i have been in a few little wind storms, where it tore down little things/and small trees...and i know i was nervous.... but this!..i could not imagine being in the middle of that...do you guys have cellars out there? where else could you go?? i know when i lived in Florida, hardly anyone had cellars down there...i would think they would all have them, with Hurricanes and all...

Most have basements or storm shelters, but some people don't.

The eye was calm,but that only last for a second, it before and after the eye thats BAD. One I was in was a f-4 NO FUN
