How many laying??? 4 girls 3 eggs every 2 days

I know its all a guess but 4 muscovy girls laying 3 eggs every 2 days..... is it more likely i have 1 laying each day and 1 every other or 3 laying every other?

I think it's pretty difficult to tell. I got three eggs today.. so i clearly have a new hen laying.. i know my original pair have been laying since 4mths because they were the only hens.. and my newer ones.. have begun. ( i have 5)

Perhaps their is some trick.. i do know the size and shape vary a bit with my girls but to try decipher who is laying what would be tough..

New guy here with an observation.
I have 11 hens and 7 drakes all mallards. They all lay in the same nest.
If I gather the eggs every day I get 2 or 3 each day.
If I gather the eggs every other day I get at least 10 eggs.
I have check this by changing from one to the other more than a couple of times and it holds true each time.
I don't have an answer for it.........as I said "an observation".

are your ducks free range??? my guess is some of them lay in other places the day after you take them all????

No all are fenced in. I have a 4ft square box filled with hay that they all go in. They always lay in just one corner and then cover them up with some of the hay.
