How many meaties you going to raise this spring

I got 8 roos to do right now if I can get my butt in gear. But planning on 25-50 birds this spring and really thinking hard on some turkeys.

We may also try 25 of the Feedom Rangers from JM Hatchery this season too. I've read so much from others who tried them, watched some of the videos from others, etc. Also have a friend on another board that said they kept some over, and hatched chicks which did as well as the parent stock.

I'm ready to find out for myself. So we'll probably start them with a batch of cornish x.

25-50 this spring, not sure what breed yet. I might end up staggering a couple different heritage breeds in different pens. I should probably do some cornish X to have the experience of having done cornish X, even though I don't especially want to raise cornish X.
