This was taken on March 2, 2oo8. My Husbands mother caught the biggest and most fish that day. We camped for a week at Truman Lake and had a wonderful time. Mom went to heaven on 11/3/09

Teach a child to fish...and he will catch the first , biggest and most! He was so mad when Uncle Truman had to let it go because it was 1/4 inch too small!
This was also taken at Truman Lake...actually its on the back side of the dam so it is Lake of The Ozarks!

It's funny...
Back in Alabama I used to be able take a fly rod and just decimate a population of Crappy, Bluegill, and Bass a few hours before a fish fry and feed everyone.
Now, here in California, All I seem to be able to catch is my right ear and some tree limbs....

Are CA bluegills snobbs?

But I have discovered surf fishing at the local beach. Surf Perch are yum.

I LOVE FISHING!!! I built me a pond about 12 years ago, & all of my spare time is spent there fishing. I have re-stocked 4 times over the last decade. I also fish the Arkansas river for big catfish & spoonbill. The largest I've caught is a 40 lb. flathead, followed by a 38 lb. spoonbill. I Have seen a 98 lb.spoonbill get caught out of there along with a 210 lb. gar. I WANT TO CATCH ONE!!!
