How many other women on here...

I fish, but don't hunt. I couldn't hit the broadside of a barn with a projectile if my life depended on it. I love fishing, though.

+1. I love fishing. I keep heavy-duty work gloves and one of those multi-tools with strong pliers in my tacklebox to deal with the channel cats. Ate two of them this summer, and they were delicious fried in cornmeal batter!

DH is an excellent shot, but recently developed a squeamishness about killing critters personally. And he eats meat, go figure.

Got a bow this summer, been practicing.
Hunter's safety course starts Tues. Need that for a licence.
So, no, not yet. BUT..... WILL

I fish. We live on a kind of "preserve" where you aren't supposed to hunt- but the locals do anyway. I'm so afraid someone is going to take out one of my alpacas some day

They're brown.

I do have a 22, but I'm saving it for the coons

I love fishing too. See... I prefer catching catfish. They're the only fsh I eat so I like getting them. My dad fries them up in batter and man are they good!! We're catch and release here though. I have no interest in eating bass or bluegill so back in they go if we catch them.

I'm supposed to be getting my new bow today I think. We've been paying a little on it at a time because they're too darn expensive to pay cash for all at once. I'm excited!!

The best fish we ever caught for eating was Lake Erie perch & walleye. Mmmm mmm!
Can't eat the fish we catch here. Most of the little lakes are old strip mines, or close to coal mines. The water has high levels of manganese

Doesn't seem to bother the fish tho!

Nope, no hunting here. I couldn't do it!

But as long as your using the animal/fowl etc for food.........................I think it great to do so

. But just for a fur or head posted on a wall and no harvesting

HappyMtn: That stinks!! Most our lakes around here are just gross so we don't eat the fish here. We actually catch the cats in the Lake of the Ozarks...

SillyStunt: I agree. While we're "trophy hunters" per se, we eat the meat. If we don't need any more meat, we give it to people who we know that do need it. I hate when people hunt mindlessly and just take the antlers of deer and leave the rest to rot.

I hunt or should I say I take my son (13) hunting when his dad can't! I also have a rifle brand new never been shot that I keep saying I'm going to go but I just keep putting it off cause even though I've shot armadillios & possum not sure if I can kill a deer, which seems really stupid when you think about it since I'm the one that puts al the meat up and whatnot!!

Guess I'm a little strange....
