I don't hunt for two reasons...the first is because I'm too soft hearted and an animal lover, so I would probably cry instead of shoot, and the second is because I have terrible aim.

I'll be glad to enjoy eating the deer if it's already dead though!

I love fishing, but we don't have time to go very often.

My neighbors bow hunt, and last year they came home with a big bear.

They also regularly eat deer, squirrel, rabbit, snake, and turtle. They love to share too...but I politely declined the bear. I'm also not too crazy about snake or turtle.

Ummm.....yeah.

since 2004, SO got me started. Didn't think I could do it either but now I can't stop. I've been known to go out without SO and give him a run for his money. We're heading out for muzzleload season this Thursday.

My first was the doe and this is my best buck. Also hunt geese, pheasant, squirrel, dove, turkey.

My husband has hunted since he was a kid and has always enjoyed it. Well back in 05 I decided to check it out and see what it was all about. I NEVER thought I would be able to shoot a deer, I grew up in a non hunting family. Thankfully all the shooting practice I got while a cop in the Air Force taught me the fundamentals, it was really easy to just pick up and sight in my new 30.06. My first year I got a 11 point older buck and a yearling doe, my second year I shot a yearling but we lost her (I also put the first shot on my husband’s big 8 point), 07 I got a nice 12 point buck, nothing in 08 I couldn’t hunt because of an injury and I am now bow hunting! I can’t wait until rifle season this year; my daughter wants to go out with me so we will see how that goes. She is very softhearted. She once passed out in reading class because they read a story about a Raccoon that got his paw caught in a trap.

We also do a lot of fishing with the kids and this is the first year my son can carry a rifle during hunting so I hope he gets something. It will be good for him.
