It is volunteer, and you can choose what area to help in. I am going to help in the orphanages. I know adoption is tough, I have been researching it for years, I will be sending in all my paperwork before I go to India to volunteer. I hope I will get a referral either before I go our while Im there. But of course I wouldnt mind going back to India multiple times, I think it is so beautiful there

There are 6 humans. My partner and I, then: our 13 year old nephew, his mother lives next door but he stays at our house most of the time, he eats here, bathes here, does his homework, etc. and has his own room here. Our 11 year old grandson who lives with his mom, but is here on the weekends which he stretches to Thurs after shcool til Mon morning, he also has his own rooom. We also have our 4 year old granddaughter and her mother living with us while the mom is in nursing school. We also have 2 cats, 2 dogs, 22 chickens and 2 lambs.

Hmm living in the current house we have me, my parents, and 2 disabled adults, and a soon to be my sister & nephew living with us also. I guess that makes 7. Though I have 8 siblings and a bunch of nephews & nieces. My mom talked me into building another house on the property, so after we buy the new land & while that is being built I will be on a volunteer misson in India and hopefully coming home with an adopted son/daughter

Good luck! We are in "the big wait" to adopt domestically again. Its hard to predict how long it will take. Does India have two trips or one?

Thank you. It is 1 trip. Thats why I am hoping all the stars align just so perfectly I can already be out there volunteering and be able to meet him/her on that trip. Flights are soo expensive now, I was just looking up tickets and oh my goodness!

We are a homeschooling family with 6 total family members. We have four children ages 9,6,18 months, and 6 months.

If you count our chickens, we are a family of 200 or so
