Mister is working 10-7 at WalMart on Thanksgiving Day. He won't have time to enjoy a holiday dinner with his extended family. Sure, he's getting double holiday pay so he'll be paid twice the usual number of peanuts per hour.

For the first time in my adult life, I DON'T have to be at work this Thanksgiving or Christmas!!

I'm working. If the holiday comes during the week, it's a normal work day for me. I do get time and a half, though.

A day off still consists of chicken, dog and cat chores, laundry and did I mention a 10 pound turkey and all the sides? The good part is that I reward myself daily- I come play on BYC when my goals are met!

My DH is working as well Its just the two of us this year so for the first time in 40 years I get the day off. I told the kids I am staying home and taking it easy. Of course they all want me to come to dinner but I would rather just stay home this year. DH is home on the weekend and I will cook a small turkey then Believe it or not I am looking forward to a quiet day by myself.
