How many people have a pullet that falls asleep while holding it?

We have RIR pullet that always falls asleep when my four year old holds her. I thought it was just because she was a chick and enjoyed the warmth, however 3 months later, she immediately falls asleep when he picks her up. This is our first flock so I was curious if anyone else has birds that also do this.

This one lays down beside my daughter and "naps" with her...very strange. I have another photo of her holding the same bird and it looks dead...I guess it is asleep?? I call it the narcoleptic bird!
