Back at my parents' house, so time to play how many roos! These are 6 week old easter egger/backyard mixes hatched from a friend's eggs. Friends say the possible roosters are a Cochin and a couple Americaunas. Hens are a variety of easter eggers, sex links, Wyandottes and Marans.
I've labeled them by number in the photos (click to enlarge), descriptions also below.
1 = white/grey straight comb
2 = dark blue straight comb
3 = black w/silver pattern at hackles and black rose(?) comb
4 = light red w/rose(?) comb
5 = darker red black tails w/pea comb
6 = darker red black tails w/pea comb (slightly bigger than 5)
I feel pretty confident that 1 & 2 are roosters based on comb size/pink. What are your thoughts on 3-6? The different comb types are always hard to compare to each other.
This is for fun, no one needs to be rehomed. They lost their rooster earlier this year and have a large enough flock that 2-3 roos would be fine, especially as their chickens free range and they lose them fairly regularly to hawks.
