How many scorplings will there be? Baby update post 111

OMG! She is still having them?!? WOW!!! Maybe there was something wrong with the one she was eating, then? Or, maybe she was giving birth and you didn't realize what was happening? IDK, I'm just throwing out ideas.

I am thinking that maybe when she is done raising her babies she might settle down, some? I had no idea they were white when they are born...too cool! I'll have to show the boys when they get home!

Gypsy, your tats sound too cool! I've got two that I got years ago. One I love, the other one I was never happy with, but never bothered to cover up. I wanted to cover it when DH and I were in Hawaii, but he didn't want to waste time. Bleah.

Well, I just looked under her and there are at least 4 piled on her "arms" so I am excited!!!! She still looks really fat, too!!!! Well, I thought of the "maybe she was just having them" thing.....but *sigh* those are missing and they were really in her mouth!!! So, she did eat 2 (I think I only said one earlier, but she ate another). I also think it may have been from stress!!! We were so freaked out to see babies that me and three little boys were standing at her cage squealing before we even realized we were being idiots! Now we are being really quiet and just casually glancing in now and then.

wow, that's so exciting! I never thought I'd call a scorpion cute either but I'm joining the admirers. How many are there total now? Are the four in addition to the two that were on her back?

I knew it! I read something recently about your scorpion and you said it was fat. I thought it might be full of young, but I didnt say anything. That is so amazing. Arachnids are the ONLY pets Im banned from, and I want a tarantula so bad. Congrats, where are the pics?!

I think it is neat luv however may I just say eeeeeeeewwwwww

I was tagged by a scorpion on my hand as a kid and every since then...scorpions are a NO in my book.

The only pic I have posted right now is on page.....3 I think. I want to take a few more but I am afraid to stress her out. I may try one or two in a bit.

We had joked several times about coming home to babies but I don't think any of us really thought we would. Mainly because the guy I bought her from has a nice shop and seems to really know his animals. I couldn't believe he would sell us one so obviously pregnant and not know it!!

Well, there weren't 4 under her, only 2....I guess it was just the way they were curled up at that time. So, add those to the ones on her back and there are 4...plus tow she ate, so 6 total born so far. I am eager to see how many she ends up with. One of the new ones is on her side now slowly working its way to her back.

They are so adorable!!!!

Would it be so bad to clip off the stinger part of the tail? Just feed dead crickets instead? Or do they HAVE to have the stinger to live in captivity?

OUCH Cetawin...I can see that as a legitimate reason to be creeped out by them. I look at that stinger and KNOW it would hurt!!!!

I honestly have no idea if you could clip the stinger off or not. They don't use it to eat. At least from what I have observed with mine, they never sting their food. They catch it with their claws and just eat it. I think the stinger must be just for defense. However, I couldn't cut them off. I think that she didn't ask to be my pet so I will love and respect her just as she is. Oh, and I don't know if others are different or not, but mine would not touch a dead cricket. If one dies it sits in there until I remove it.

I just took a pic I thought was rather cute. I love the way the baby is sitting right on her head. They two new ones are still not on her back but slowly working that direction.
