2 old electric Singers, one in a case, the other in the table. The one in the case has tension issues, the one in the table needs a new cord.
1 Kenmore; don't know if it works, tho it does run. Boyfriend picked it up at Goodwill for me, as a surprise.
1 EuroSomething; doesn't work, don't know why. Boyfriend salvaged it from former Landlord's garbage.

I have 3 1/2

1. My favorite is my Necchi electric. It has a lot of power, a ton of stitches, drop-in bobbin, needle threader, quick-change feet and I think Necchi's have the best warranty in the business.

2. I saved my first machine for my daughters to learn on. It's an old Singer and it's a workhorse. It can only do straight-stitch and zig-zag, which makes it great for a beginner and I just can't bear to part with it.

3. A 4-thread serger.

4. I have one of those kids sewing machines which is pretty much a toy.

I've had my eye out for years for an old treadle machine. I'd love to have one!

I have my good 'ol Kenmore. I recently got rid of my mother's 1960's Singer electric machine. It was shorting out and would zap you whenever you touched it! I miss it though. I remember learning how to sew on it. My mother made all the neighborhood girls sew a pair of "coolats" (sp?) one summer. We had a sew-in at our house and and a bunch of us girls made those silly things. Then we took pictures of everyone turning cartwheels in the yard while wearing them. A truly vintage style!

i have a treadle that needs a couple of very minor parts and a singer ingenuity..everyone said that my singer would die within a year because they are cheaply made blah blah blah, but i love it! it works as well as the day my husband bought it for me.

what is a long arm machine?

At my home are my Bernina Inspiration 1530 sewing machine and a Bernina Bernette 334DS 4 thread serger.
Grandmother's old treadle is more decorative than used.

Gave my Kenmore to one daughter when I bought the Bernina and my Brother to another daughter when she went into Fashion Merchandising in college.

Would love to invest in a longarm so am interested in what brand machines those of you use who have one.

I have 5 machines

1 1886 Singer treadle
1 serger
2 electric machines here at home (Pfaff & Viking)
1 electric Brother machine at Dad's (was my Mom's) - Dad still likes to sew once in a while.

I'd love to get a long arm quilting machine and an embroidery machine.

I have two, both are Singers. One is an antique treadle that my Grandmother gave to me the other is a very simple Singer that I bought a few years ago. It gets used a lot.
