how many times a day do i turn my eggs

The rule of thumb is 3 times a day. The reason is because that way when you go to sleep, the eggs will not be on the same side that they were on the night before. That is a long time to be on one side and it needs to get changed up each night. Odd number of turns takes care of that issue.
I bought an egg turner and am very happy I did. It turns the eggs all day long very slowly so I don't have to worry if I forget.

Hens turn them a lot. You're unlikely to turn too often, just make sure you turn at least 3 times a day. Turning an odd number of times is a good idea, BTW.

I bought a turner, too, it sure makes life easier.
