How Many Times Have You Been Pecked in the Face?

Ya'll. I did it again. I fell for one of my chickens cute little faces and got pecked on my gums. All because I smiled at her while holding her.

The culprit:

Don't let that innocent face fool you. She will peck your teeth and will definitely do it again given the opportunity.

This isn't the first I've been pecked in the face. My teeth/gums have been pecked at least 4 times, my ear once, and my eyeball once (never going out without my glasses again!)

So I want to know.. how many times have you all been pecked in the face?

I've gotten it in the eye balls, lips, teeth, earrings ripped from my lobes... I just don't learn to keep my face outta theirs.

Ive never been pecked in the face and its not because my birds love and respect me.... Its because I know better than to put them that close to my face. LOL Cant trust em!

I don't count the number of times with my childhood chickens but I am sure there was a good amount since we kept them on our knees and shoulders ALL the time! They were proper pet-pets.

Ans since I got the pheasants six months ago Buttercup has had my eyeball three times! She likes to sit on my shoulder and all it takes is for me to forget she's sitting there and I sort of go to oogle her. Had one or two pecks on my teeth as well - that's what you get for being happy to see them.

been pecked in the eye by a RIR. those guys are vicious............... thing flew 3 feet in the air and stuck it's face thru a chain link fence to get me. that was after the same hen picked a fight with 3 fully grown Pit Bull mixes......... and won.
