LOL! Talk about it!Now chicken toenails are something else... I can't count how many times I've had scabs on my hands or arms from those.

Common sense dictates this - never for me either.Never. I value my eyeballs too much to ever let a chicken anywhere near my face.
This character has lost an eye. His expression is one of disbelief. ... that anyone would allow themselves to be pecked in the face more than once, probably.
yep. I've posted about her before, and long story short, she escaped the pen, flew over a pair of 4 foot chain link fences, started a fight with the neighbor's dogs, got ripped up pretty good, flew back over the fences with an injured wing, and until that bird was culled for her aggression, she had this weirdly healed spot on her left wing, that, when stretched, revealed an entire exposed shoulder joint.Sorry, meant she.![]()
Never because of the acute fear I'll get pecked in the eye, I pick up my birds all the time but I don't think they respect me enough to not peck my eye given the opportunity so I don't see an option for me to click lol. I'll pretend they "respect" me and click that one I guess haha.Ya'll. I did it again. I fell for one of my chickens cute little faces and got pecked on my gums. All because I smiled at her while holding her.

Don't let that innocent face fool you. She will peck your teeth and will definitely do it again given the opportunity.
This isn't the first I've been pecked in the face. My teeth/gums have been pecked at least 4 times, my ear once, and my eyeball once (never going out without my glasses again!)
So I want to know.. how many times have you all been pecked in the face?
