I can't stand that chat room. There is too much going on at once and too hard to answer one person. Here, we can quote so they know I am referring to. And off-topic discussions covers a LARGE area.

BYC Chat is okay... You have to learn how to communicate in and follow a chat discussion, and how to ignore all the fluff and randomness. That can be a little bit difficult for some people at first. Just sit and watch the chat discussion for a while to get a feeling for the flow of things.

There have been some things that have happened in chat that have been, shall we say, immature and out-of-control, but the mods do a good job of pulling out the banhammer or otherwise taking care of the situation as needed.

I have tried in several of those chat rooms, and ALWAYS wind up on am im because it is too much for my poor feeble brain. Annoying more than anything really. I think set up much better. I guess we all have our preferences.

The term banhammer, is a satirical term for the power wielded by an administrator to ban or block users of internet forums, wikis or online games. The term is often used as a nickname for the actual anti-cheating software that performs the banning action.[1]
