How many to feed?

Ok how much should i feed a rounded tablespoon of grounded red cayen pepper do i feed only 1 time or with there daily feed?I cut a bottom of a 5 gallon bucket about 3 inches high so do i just feed once to make them lay in winter or with every time i feed them?

My chickens lay just fine in the winter without the cayenne pepper. They just need some supplemental light - enough so they're getting at least 14 hours of light per day.

I think the cayenne pepper is to help out otherwise healthy chickens who aren't laying very well. You mix it with their chicken feed and give it everyday. There's many other things that keep chickens from laying, like moulting, not enough daylight, stress, poor quality food, type of breed, worms, other diseases, etc.
If none of these are affecting your hens, then try the cayenne pepper added to their feed.

In any case, it isn't going to hurt your chickens and can only help.
