How many Trick or Treaters did you get?

We didn't trick or treat in our neighborhood. Very dark, lots of woods and long driveways! We go to a friend's neighborhood. I walked my 8 yr old around and my older son and his best friend went together. They got home much later than we did with a lot more candy. They had traded masks after one round and then went through again! Snots. At our house not a single kid came trick or treating, but I did have a party in the afternoon for my youngest and his cub scout pack. It was fun!

Zero! Never do in the country. I always buy candy just in case and then I have to eat it!

We probably had around 30-40. My son was the one handing out candy so I'm not sure. Around here Trick or Treat is on the 30th every year because the thought is that adults have their Holloween parties on the 31st. and that keeps the drunk drivers away from the kids.

Some of the suburbs still have theirs on the 31st. So if you really wanted to get a lot of stash you could hit Des Moines on the 30th and then the smaller suburbs on the 31st.

My kids used to head over to their cousins house who lives closer to a very well-to do area. They would go there to get full size candy bars, sodas etc.

Or they would hit their grandmas trailer park. Lots of homes really close together

I miss their candy stash - I have nothing to confiscate this year

Wish I'd actually counted... Somewhere between 70 and 100. I'm in Suburbia on a Circle. Huge population of kids around here. I kept getting groups of 4-8 at a time. The biggest group was around 12, I think.

Side note- Why does it always seem that they pick the smallest kid in the group to knock on the door?

I ended up listening for the giggles to answer the door instead of the knock.

3...we live in town, but I think due to the colder weather... Around 30 degrees last night here in North Dakota! Plus the fact it was a Sunday, probably kept numbers down. We bought some candy just in case. But we only got one group of three and then went off to church at seven. We left church around 10:30 and realized some Halloween parties had already broken up and went home. Though I don't encourage participation, I do hand out candy with a little gospel tract to the children that come to our door. Our daughter just gets to buy a bag of her own favorite candy rather than going out trick or treating. I don't feel it's something participated as much as when I was a kid. Man, back in the day, the streets seemed packed on Halloween night. But not last night. There were some here and there. But I think most people just hit the nursing homes and certain well lighted neighborhoods and their close friends and family.

None.

Our area has big lots and lots of woods so it's country.
I guess with all the toothy pumpkin-eating Jack-o'lanterns and red candles on the porch it must have been too scary a walk down that looooong dark drive.
Someone on the next road over did a great job on their yard ....strobe light, psycho soundtrack screaming, cobwebs, skulls, pumpkins....it made be smile.
