How many years have your ducks provided eggs?

I know that different breeds lay more than others. I read that ducks can lay for 3 to 4 years. Is this true? Is the laying steady? Surely it drops off, or decreases gradually after certain amounts of time. I have Buffs, but I would love to hear the egg-amounts from anyone.

That's a good question and I sure wish I knew how to answer it for you. I don't have any ducks though.

Maybe someone with more experience in that area will chime in here.

let me see...
I've had a Blue Swedish female for 2 years now and she was about 1 1/2 when I got her. She's laid each Spring/Summer into Fall, but stops abruptly once the days shorten and the temps fall. I got duckings that same year and they started laying last year. Now, I collected eggs 2 days ago and I'm not positive if the oldest one laid yet or not, but she was hunkered down in the corner where I found the eggs, so maybe? That would make her about 3 1/2 now. I hope she keeps laying- she's a very nice light blue and I'd love more ducklings from her.
