I just purchased a bottle of organic, unfiltered ACV for my chickens water. What would be a good amount to use for maintenece in a 1 gallon water container? Do I put it in every day? They are 5 1/2 months old.

I use ACV in the water everyday.
Don't use a metal waterer though. Use plastic waterers.

I try to use ACV in my water everyday, it is good for their electrolyes in this hot weather here in OKlahoma.

Also, helps keep the water fresh, with no scummy buildup. Although, I change the water every day.

You are right - the level is the same However, here is the site for the ACV I used - there are many health benefits for humans and animals!

here is also info from poultry keepers.com

We slacked off using it and I have just spent the last week dealing with cocci - don't know if that is the reason but I wished I would have been more vigalent with the DH to insist we use it (at least 3-5 times a week!) Who knows.........
