Hey everyone, for those of you who don't know I have a growing flock of seven chickens (six hens, one rooster). I am currently trying to breed them for a bigger flock. Anyways my friend and I both have chickens. He has three easter eggers (which I´m pretty sure they are actually olive eggers), and six or seven buff Orpingtons. All of his chickens should be laying by next summer. He and I plan on selling a lot of what we get to our community. We both will grow produce, collect our eggs, sell pickles, and hopefully more. I want to eventually get to sell chicks that I hatch also. I was wondering if anyone has any experience will any of this or not. If you do have any marketing tips they will greatly be appreciated.
Thanks,

Make business cards... Go to chicken swaps... Have friends tell people about your products...

You honestly will have to reach out and be proactive. Always do the best for your customers so their word of mouth lifts up your company not bring it down by negative talk.

Start by selling some eggs then put your business card in the cartons. Go to your local feed stores and put up a business card on their bulletin they have for local farmers and breeders.

I’ve been doing this for a while and some customers will be negative no matter what... don’t let them drag you down! Chin up and continue... some people you’ll never please.

Okay, I understand what you mean. Where do you think would be the best place to start selling? Like would it just be on the business cards saying like ¨hey email this email address or call this number to order¨? Also, another thing is this... what is a chicken swap and how do I find one near me.

I’m not sure your location, but a lot of states have them. They also have livestock auctions too.
