How much are store eggs in your area?

I went grocery shopping today and noticed that the prices for eggs.
Holy smokin Toledo, man!
$9.68 for Hickmans, 6 something for Eggland's Best, and the cage free brown organic eggs were 8 something.
And last year I was getting comments on how my 3.50 a dozen from well-cared-for hens were pricey.
I can get 2lbs of boneless short ribs for cheaper!

$5.93 for a dozen of eggs from Walmart (Great Value). The other brands range from $5-$9 a dozen.

Abt $7.50 for a dzn of regular eggs here in socal. If you go to 99c the eggs are about $5+

last time i checked was about 4.50-5 CAD for a dozen eggs so with taxes give or take maybe 4 dollars USD for you guys south of the border

keep in mind this is western Canada

Publix large white dozen was $4.90ish the other day. $5.20ish for brown. I didn't look too much after that. I think a flat was around $13.
