How much are you paying?

A few weeks ago I paid $12 for 50 lb bag so I was surprized it jumped so high in a short amount of time. Thanks for replies.
Looks like NC, Georgia and Missouri have a good deal.

I just went to the coop today and purchased a ton of feed we have been gone for 2 weeks with a death in the family and headed to Oregon. When we got back we were almost out of everything. This is what I purchased

Scratch 50# bag - $10.45
18% Layer 50# bag - $13.30 x 2
Starter/Grower 50#bag - $11.93
Calf Milk 25# bag - $29.30
Calf starter pellets 50# bag - $9.13
Total cost me $84.00 and will last me a week or maybe a little more beings we started free ranging them this weekend.

This doesn't even include the cat and dog food we will need in a couple weeks.

It is getting quite expense but it is so worth it when my 4 year old son goes out with me. He loves those chickens and 3 calves.

I just went the other day and stocked up on supplies
Starter-13.78 for 50 lbs
Lay Mash 12.78 for 50
Cracked corn 12.78
Oats-11.78
Bale of Alfalfa for my chicks and goats 14.78
Bale of Straw 7.79
fly bags 7.79 each
Probios 11.19 tube
Bites and bones dog food 15.72 40lbs
Gas for my suburban to get there-4.09 a gallon

i live in central louisiana and 50 lb bag of laying pellets was $9.15 we usually buy two or three at a time. We don't buy scratch, I just give mine other treats and they get to free range from about 5-6 pm till bedtime for them :) gas was $3.89 to fill up our minivan two days ago

the place we buy our feed from has a grain/mill there on site it has been in business since i was a child at least and i am almost 40. the last few times i have bought there i go home and call around and they are still the cheapest other places want $10-11 dollars and some change for laying pellets. i guess because they have there own mill there they can pass savings onto the customer ?!

funny you mention that, i was thinking today how diesel use to be cheaper when it was just going over the $2 range, now it is way more. my husband and i joked then maybe we should buy a diesel vehicle, glad we did not! can you say "the man is trying to stick it to us" with trucks hauling our food etc and making it that more expensive for the cost of everything
