How much do Golden Sumutra chicks cost?

Definitely a cross. Sumatra should have a jet black face...pretty, maybe a cross with a phoenix, to keep the tail....

I am another person (who is active in the poultry exhibition scene) and have yet to hear of a Golden Sumatra. I have also seen the 'Khaki' Sumatras on ebay and think they are a cross of some sort (or an odd sport) that does not show good breed characteristics.

I also keep my roosters together. They are all very tame and seem to enjoy human companionship. I have to have them exhibit aggression to my other males.

If you are looking for a golden long tailed breed, I would recommend Golden Phoenix. They are available from hatcheries, for very inexpensive prices, but I would highly recommend seeking out a reputable breeder. Most chicks from a good breeder rarely exceed $15, and are often less than that.

Looking at those birds Id also say they have some phoenix in them based on the white showing in the earlobes. The type is all wrong for sumatra as well, these are just a cross someone made and thought was pretty so theyre trying to make a buck off of them.
The khaki sumatras are the splash form of dun which acts just like blue and with a couple breedings you should have good birds. I think I know which auction youre talking about though, they had nasty type and didnt really look anything like sumatra.
