If anyone uses a brinsea mini advance or mini eco, when lockdown comes around how much do I fill the water pot exactly? The last time I used it I had difficulty with the hatching because I didn't fill the water high enough, I only put water in the 2 pots up to the divider line, I missed the part of the directions where it said "fill it well over the divider line and use the water pot guard" .. All the way to the top?
I don't want to put too much and have them drown, yet I don't want to put too little and have them not hatch right. I never bought a humidity gauge because I thought if I just follow the directions all would go well.
Not sure if it makes a difference but I have bantam eggs in there and they're gonna hatch on the first weekend on Jan 2013.

Well, until then does anyone here use the mini advance? How much do you fill up the water pot?

I don't have those incubators but I bought one for around $10 at walmart among their other thermometers. You'll notice first the more expensive ones but just read the packages and theres one that takes the temp and humidity with a digital display. Good luck!

Humidity and Temp. Gauges all in one are well worth the $10.00 to $12.00. Walmart has them, Tractor Supply, and your local feed and seed store may have them. I do not have the incubator that you are asking about although, in mine I fill the ledges full of water. See if you can google and find your type of incubator and any info. that you can on it. Try going to the company that made it. Have a wonderful day.
