I've got someone who wants to buy my mallard ducklings, but he only wants to pay $3, rather than the $4 I'm asking. I think the price is fair, because the local feed store is selling them for $4.95 each, and Ideal charges $3.85 each + shipping and boxing charges.

So what are you getting for ducklings?

I can tell you this...Holderread Waterfowl Farm owned by the Author os storey's guide to raising ducks range from 3.75 each for Magpies and cayugas to 15.00 each for Bantam silky ducks.

Very simple..you put a fair price on the ducklings so he can pay it or pay the extra money at the feed store.

The 4.00 per duckling is not unreasonable and I would pay it. I just paid 4.75 each to order my 10 plus shipping.

I just bought ducklings for $2.75 at our local feed store and there sexed. Just depends where you live and if the guy really wants them,he'll pay $4 each.There YOUR ducks and can sell them what you see fit. They are $4.75 at TSC.

I sell mine at a week old for $5 each. I have Black and/or Blue Swedish ducklings. I just sold 3 and may have up to 6 more in 2 weeks or so...(they're in my incubator growing now.)

Ok, I have some mallard ducklings that I hatched. What would be a fair price for these at 5 weeks old? Also, what is an adult mallard drake going for these days? I went to pick up one of my boys from school, and I was asked if I wanted 3 adult mallard drakes. So of course I said yes, I figured I haven't feed these so anything is profit. Plus, the same family just gave me like 20 duck eggs that are in the incubator as we speak.

I've seen grown mallards here in Texas going for $10 to $20 each, although I wouldn't pay $20 myself.

oh really? Thanks for the info. I figured it was a good deal for me. I never run across anything for free, and I know they take good care of their animals.

from my website:

Duck Prices

* Call Ducklings - $6 each
* Call Ducks - $8-10 each
* Large Fowl Ducklings - $4 each
* Large Fowl Ducks - $ 10-15 each

you are being quite sensible in price. if someone doesn't agree with your price, they can continue shopping. if you change your prices for them, all of your prices become 'negotiable'.

at that point if he/she becomes a 'regular' customer, he/she will utilize the same tactics.

hope all works out just 'ducky' for yo:)u.
