how much do you sell eggs for?

The markets by several dozen and they sell them for 2.50 a doz. They pay some others.1.25 a doz but the eggs are small compared to mine. Maybe I'll ask them for 2.00 a doz and they can sell them for 3.00 a doz. Maybe that's why I can't keep up because I sell them to cheap. At first I was giving themj to friends but they all insisted on paying me something so the friends came up with the 2.00 a doz.

Ohhh....I misunderstood...I thought you were selling them at the market....you are selling them TO THE market. I gotcha...like wholesale.

It just made me smile reading it....LOL

but yea, if your product goes super fast, then maybe an increase wouldn't hurt. As we all know, making money off livestock is hard enough right. best of luck to you in selling tons of eggs!

My 6 year old son sells them to people at church for $3 a dozen. He donates $1 to charity, puts $1 in savings and gets $1 for spending money.

That's a nice way to do it for a kid!

So far demand for hatching eggs has left me with no eating eggs to sell, only enough to supply us. However, I have a few mutt pullets who will start laying soon, so I won't be selling their eggs for hatching and was planning on selling eggs for $2/dozen for family/friends and $3.50/dozen for others.

That what we are doing also my son race's Snocross and ever year they raise money for pink ribbon riders they help men and women with breast cancer to help out with gas, bills ect.. while they go through treatment.
last year he help a yard sale at a race and the table fee went to the Pink Ribbion Riders, Now my hens just started laying so what we sell $ 1.00 of that will go to them and 1 dollar goes to feed them and he can keep the other dollar

This is exactly where I'm at right now, but I've started quoting $2.25 as the price per dozen. Still haven't collected a dime yet, though.
