how much do you sell eggs for?

We just started selling ours. I get about 1 1/2 doz a day. We sell mainly to friends and neighbors, but we also set up a stand on the weekends. And, I listed on craigslist. We sell ours for $2/doz.

$1.60 doz, $2.40 doz 1/2 and I mix them with both brown and white eggs. Most of my eggs are jumbo in size compared to the store eggs. I should be getting double this price.
My neighbors and friends/ family buy from me.

we currently have 300 laying

we sell at farmer markets and to health food stores.
$2.50 wholesale
$3.75 to retail customers

I never have an egg left at the end of the week and Tony is thinking of buying about 250 more birds. Hmm...we'll see...enough work now..LOL

best of luck in selling yours!

I'm selling mine pretty cheap - 1.00 a dozen, but I am selling out, and have to get more hens

so I may up the price a bit.

I can't go too high in my area, because I am in farm country, and a lot of people either have their own, or buy from Walmart for a buck a dozen (yuk). I was thinking of selling them for 1.50 a dozen, but I doubt I would go much higher than that.

Heck...I'm still paying off all those friends (with eggs of course) that came over and helped me build the coop and run!

I sell mine for $3/dozen. My MIL buys them, and neighbors and other people in our homeschooling community. I can sell as many as my girls can lay--and I'll be getting a few more chicks to raise up to layers this spring. They pay for their feed and make a good start on paying for the horse feed (the grain at least--not the hay.)
