how much do you spend on wood shavings?

We just found a man who has a small mill and will now save his saw dust for us. It's not as absorbent as the pine shavings, but even if we have to mix them, it is still saving us at least half.

My dh has a planer and we've been making some furniture so shavings are a plenty right now. I would def head to the closest planing mill (they plane down rough sawn lumber) and ask if you could get some. We have a lot of really great mennonite opperations around here and I used to go a clean up!! and they were happy to have someone clean
