How much does your chicks cost at the feed store or TSC

Most chicks $0.75, some are $0.50. TSC, cause they aren't selling, and are getting in another 1200 this week!!
Southern states use must pre-order, they will be $3.50 each. I doubt they will sell many.

Local farm store had some last week for $2.19, and they sold all of them.

Not sure why TSC is not selling, unless its because many are st run.

2.49 regular
but we know the people who work at our TSC.
They call before they get a new shipement to ask if we want the leftovers from the last. They have limited space at our store.
It's a good arrangement all around. Works for them to sell excess inventory and a good price for us, when they have what we want, if not they contact other customers that shop regularly for chicks.
If they are st run leftovers we are less inclined to purchase since it does not fit our business model.

If TSC is in a suburban/urban area, I can understand why they can't sell straight run. Most areas like that don't allow roos. I believe my local feed stores sell only pullets because they would have a very bad time trying to sell anything else. BTW, in Agway, the chicks are $3.99 and another feed store is selling them for 6 for $25.00, even a bit more than Agway. And they do sell because there's little competition here. So the prices you are getting them for are fantastic, as long as you can have roos! I would love to have one or two NICE roos, but I can't!
