I guess we'll see. I don't want to wait until we've lost a bird. But then, I have two (soon to be three) dogs. One is contained because he takes off and chases chickens. One is quite protective of the chickens (and actually has attacked the other dog for going after them, though the little beagle is oblivious to his growls and nips) and we don't know about the third one, yet). At any rate, I'm not too worried about anything on our property so long as they're out.
