If I tried to sell a laying hen for $20 bucks down here, people would look at me cross ways and go down to the "Birdman" at the flea market to buy one for $8.

Where I live, "easter" eggs may as well be golden eggs. I'd pay $20 for it. Mostly because its of laying age. That alone saves you a bit of cash on feed.

Not at all, Jody! I myself think they're totally worth it. The feedstore lady usually gets her prices here for the most part. She sells my extra cockerels for $15,that is when she has an empty cage, not too shabby when many people can't even give them away in some areas.

Edited to add: when she gets her chicks from Ideal, she sells the Easter Eggers for $1 more than the other ones. People pay it, too.
