How much has your feed gone up?

Wow i get a 20% starter for 18 dollers a 100 lb.

last time i bought layer pellets it was $6.69.i looked at layer pellets the other day an they was $9.69.some theyve gone up $3/50.i havent bought feed in a year.

$11.98 per 50lbs of Layana. It's actually gone down because I changed feed stores and it was $13 something at the old one. I think it hag been more like $9 before.

a 50 lb. bag of layer pellets is around $12.00 in NY. bag of whole corn is $5.00. bale of straw $5.00 bale of hay $3.00

Just for comparison, my layer mash from the local feed mill that grinds it fresh, has gone up in price from $5.00 for 50 lbs to $8.50 in the last 3 years.

If you can go to a local feed mill, the savings and freshness of the feed is worth the hastle, in my opinion.

We pay $11 for 20% starter grower 50 lbs. Those Jumbo Cornish better taste pretty good in 4 more weeks !!!!

Ive never thought of going straight to the feed mill and Ive got two of them real close to me. with all the mouths im feedin Im gonna try that!

How long would a bag of layer mash stay fresh if it unopened? Maybe a small stockpile is in order...

well starter can go bad or it may/will start to ferment

I found layer crumbles for $9.50/ 50# bag the other day, from a local mill. I think I'll lay in a supply.
