I didnt know it was that high. That shocked me. We also live in florida so we use fans a lot and then we have 4 laptops and 5 T.V's. 2 ovens haha you get the point.

Ours is billed every 2 months and it's about $400 a bill!

tell me about it. Ihave 5 250w light going, pool, hot tub, 8 fans on the rabbits, hatcher and a bator. last month over 400 I am scared to see this month!!!!

Ours is usually between $100.00 and $200.00, but in the worst heat of summer, it can reach well over $200.00.

Our housing and utilities are included with DH's job....I haven't paid an electric bill in a long time

BUT before we moved here for this job, during the summer with the central a/c we had bills around $175-$200. MUCH less in the winter since our heat was gas.

Ours is fairly cheap. Our house is filled with large windows and it's very easy to get a cross-breeze going, so the AC isn't always needed.

Propane, on the other hand... Good grief.

ours is pro-rated at 66 a month not to bad.
but we use wood heat all winter and what is those things you are all calling an AC lol. we just suffer out the heat in the summer hideout in the basement or head to the creek.
laundry hangs to dry asap cause that dryer sucks back the energy like you wouldnt believe even if it is a new high efficiency model

Mine runs 140-180 month. However I have propane for cooking and clothes drying and oil for hot water and back up heating. So the only thing I get for my money is water out of the ground and light/tv/computer. I think the rates here in western Ma. are the highest in the nation almost .20kwh
