This is my first year of raising quail and I am starting to worry about when they stop laying. How much light do I need to give to my quails?

Congrats on the quail!

If you want them to lay year-round, they should have 14-16 hours of light each day. However, if you don't mind if they drop egg production during the winter, you can follow a natural photoperiod without a problem.

Artificial lighting will increase egg production dramatically. It will also shorten the life span of the birds. When you use artificial lighting you should be sure to use full spectrum bulbs to maximize the health benefit of the lighting and avoid vitamin/nutrient deficiency.
