I seeded this new covered addition to the run, and they will have access to it when there is grass in there.

This is their sand box (they love to bathe in it when is hot outside)

Since I took this pictures I start adding another covered addition of 25x22 (in the wooded part on the left) that will be connected and open at all time to the rest of the run.
The chicken run is still a working project. I started this summer and I want to make it a little "chicken paradise” with plenty of room to play. My husband will also build me a portable 10x10 netting cage with wheels so I can put them on the grass for 2/3 hours/day with out my presence there to guard them, like I did when I had them free range.

Oh I really like the rocks next to the run. I would LOVE to not wade in mud everyday.

I love his rich colored feathers and the dominant posture, but I also like to pet my bantams often, and I don't want to watch my back everytime I do that, so unfortunately he has to go.

I googled Brown Leghorns and Game roosters for photos. Brown Leghorn is out, the legs are very different. My rooster’s legs are black and long, and the feathers have exactly the same pattern with this pure breed Red Junglefow http://redjunglefowl.webs.com/forsale9110.htm .
I can see the difference betwen my rooster and this pure breeds of Red Junglefowl ( their legs are longer, the body and the posture is different) but he still has the closest look to a Red Junglefow. I have found on google several types of Red Junglefowl that differ a lot from one part of Asia to another. I believe mine is a game mix with a Red Junglefowl. (besides, I was told was a Red Junglefowl when I bought him, at few days old, but I don’t think the seller knew much about this breed either). Anyway I don’t think that matters much, since I’m selling this rooster at the price of an ordinary rooster.
