How Much Should I Charge?

I have some black and blue ameraucanas that I got from a breeder and they are almost 8 weeks now. I plan on keeping a few and then selling the rest. How much should I charge for a pair? Also how much should I charge for a cockerel?

Where you live and the local demand for individual breeds dictate what you can charge. Quality also factors in. I live in the Denver area and Ameraucans easily sell $10-15 straight run as day olds. A pair starts at $50.

I live in St. Louis. I’m not sure what the demand is around here.

Check CL and FB. You might have a local backyard chicken or Amerauca club too. I would charge a minimum of $25 for the pullets and see the reaction.

Be sure to market them as such. Not to be confused with EEs in your ad. There is always that confusion.
