I just bought a new chicken coop it's 8 x 14 ft. I love it. I am going to sell my original coop that is 6x6 ft. but not sure how much I should sell it for. What do you all think is a fair price. See pics below. I live in Maryland and it would be pickup only. I have 18 chickens and they were only locked up at night and free ranged all day and were very comfy at night. The white pen is only a safe area with netting over it. The pen has a door they enter the pasture through. When I go to close them in at night I see they always huddled close even though there was plenty of roost space left. The egg box on the back is a great feature. There are 8 inch vents all around the coop, under the overhang of the roof, 3 windows covered in hard cloth wire. I made 3 Plexiglas window covers that I could attach and take them off when the weather was warm. The white powder that you see on the roost is just diatomaceous earth. I always dust the coop with it and also spray poultry protector all around and have never had any mites etc.

Where is Carol County anyway? Got relatives around DC that I could visit and then just swing by you and take that little beauty right off you hands!!!!

What a great coop! I'm not sure what a fair price would be on it. I would take into account what you spent. I see used coops posted in our paper here for $200-$700, but they aren't nearly as nice as yours, nor as big. The price would also depend on how clean you get it. I know I'd be willing to pay quite a bit more for a coop that was cleaned out and ready for my chickens.

Are you POSITIVE you want to sell it? I would love to have an extra coop of that quality. What if you decide you want to separate out a breeding pair, a hen goes broody and you want her to raise the babies, or you need a brooder house? Unless you absolute must sell it, I would reconsider.
