Many, many years ago, I ran into an old school acquaintance. I asked her how far along she was. Turns out she was not pregnant. I've never asked anyone that question again.

I had a dress that made me look pregnant. I happened to be wearing it when I met someone I know, and he looked me up and down, but didn't say anything. That dress went to Goodwill the next week.
