How much space do I need if I want to grow out 100 chicks?

4FT per bird minimum so 400sqft.

depends on breed. maybe 500 square feet, plus a little more if you want larger breeds than RIR or plymouth?

The 4 sq ft per bird is just the minimum for the coop. They will also require a minimum of 10 sq ft per bird for a run.

Yeah thought 10 sq ft sounds better per chicken think of doing a 35’x30’ for the chicken grower cage

So yeah 500 square feet is good. More is always better, especially if you are worried about fighting/ pecking order issues, but this lines up with what a lot of farmers recommend.
