How much space do I need?

I have 9 chickens and, since we get a lot of snow here in Upstate NY, the girls are spending a lot of time inside. How much space do you all think I need (square feet per hen)? Currently our coop is a 6' by 9'.

Will they stay inside all of the time of have a covered run?

That will be enough if you have a good sized run.

Yes, I have a large run and the girls have access to outside-outside (e.g. outside the run).
