How much would you pay for 7 month old barred rock hens

wow fabulous price in Northern California they sell for $35 at that age from organic farms

At ten dollars each for ten hens, I would buy all ten.

You can be sure they would be more expensive in the spring. Around here (Maine) livestock and poultry are usually pretty cheap during the fall and winter, btu the prices go way up in the spring! If I had a bigger area I would have gone for those Barred Rocks, I love those chickens!

That's a very fair price for a 7 mo old pullet even if not laying yet (because of the season) you know that this comming spring they will start in laying eggs for a long time. Anyway if you buy started pullets at (POL) point of laying you will pay $10 or more each plus shipping cost. Jump on 'em.

I paid 10.00ea for my beautiful barred rock hens. They are awesome layers and so pretty. I bought them from a family farm and their son raises chickens for 4H. They are not hatchery stock. I'll be buying chicks from them in the spring.
