How much would you pay for high quality bantams ?

How much would you pay for a high quality bantam pair that is 6-8 weeks old someone told be easily $100 but don't know if that is too expensive?
That's WAY to young to determine the true quality of ANY chicken.. and over priced at best.. How many ribbons have the parent stock won? Even then NO guarantees!

For that price.. I wanna see parent stock and the alleged high quality chicks. :pop

ETA: I would pay that price for a mature proven breeding pair. NEVER for a pair of chicks.. especially in such a COMMON breed like Silkies.

ETAA: Unless they had those Silkies DNA gender confirmed.. I'm getting red flags all over the place on this.. I bred Silkies for a few years.. they are very challenging to sex.. males sometimes showing gender as early as day of hatch.. but a pair guaranteed QUALITY pair.. na..I'm having a hard time buying what they're pedaling.. and would RUN the opposite direction if it were me..

Like with all high quality anything it needs proven quality and documentation to justify the higher price and value for consumers to seriously consider buying it. Just a thought.

Around here they are 45 euros per pair of large polish/silkie/similar breed and 35 euros for bantam kinds, all purebred and show quality but they are not that rare here I suppose.......

Ever since the NewCastle scare the feed stores stopped getting chicks in so the private breeders raised their prices. I know we are not talking feed store quality but they went up across the board. I live in north San Diego county and everything is expensive here!😵
