how often can you change antibiotics if the first one doesnt work..for a chicken

I have an Easter egger chicken, cant remember breed name, and she had a respiratory infection. Gave Tylan 50 orally 5 days, got the tip off BYC. She still sounds awful wheezing somewhat of a gurgle. Can I give her a different antibiotic right away, I have some Tetracycline soluble, just dont understand how to break it down from the destructions on the back lol...plz help thanks

Thank you all so much for your replies. Unfortunately, I am unaware of the Easter Egger's previous living conditions for we bought her at a swap. So far, no other chickens are showing signs of the illness (knock on wood). My Tom turkey was ill with a horrible respiratory infection that did not spread to any of my other turkeys, Tylan fixed him right up. Ima go with the Tetracycline soluble now. I'll keep y'all posted. Thankx again, I love BYC!!!!!!!!
