This will probably sound extreme to even the every-other-dayers, but I'm honest about it if anyone ever asks.
I take a bath once every 1 1/2 to two weeks, a nice long soak, wash everything with hot water and my hair with shampoo/conditioner. Every third day I shave my legs in a shallow bath, and every day I take a washcloth with warm water and wash my face and all the hot spots in order of dirtiness: face, under arms, creases( belly button etc), privates and use a separate cloth for my feet which also get rinsed several times a day since I go barefoot most the time. I wash my hands with anti-bacterial soap up to the elbows and rinse thoroughly, for all the usual stuff: animal cleaning, before during and after cooking, before and after the bathroom and every 30 min at work...
I have extreme chronic eczema, anything with fragrance and soap in general dry my skin to the point of being painful, so I only use it on my hands and hair. On top of that I have extremely dry skin and don't retain water or sweat correctly. Some people can only go 12 or 18 or 24 hours without feeling greasy, after 2 weeks my hair only begins to feel like it may need to be washed since its so dry. I work with animals in a pet store and have lots of animals at home, namely reptiles and chickens, so the hands get washed A LOT. I also scrub the fish tanks at work every day, and having dish pan hands means your hands crack, which means there are bacterial diseases fish carry that have to be addressed.
I have "chicken shoes" and clothes, and work clothes that don't enter my home and visa verse. I started getting eczema when I was 15, before then I washed every day or other day like most people do, as I learned more about what my tolerances were and my skin in general, I went through several years looking like a leper before I found out what caused my flair ups.
Just offering up the other end of the extreme mostly, Other then the extreme anti-smoking nose twice in the last ten years, I have never once been told I stink.
