How often do you worm your chickens?

I have some 5 month old bantams, I have wormed them once. They have an outdoor run. I was thinking I should worm them again before they start to lay. What are your thoughts on this?

I guess it couldn't hurt.

I dust with DE every now and again. I also feed cayenne pepper as a dressing to their feed every now and again it is suppose to deter worms.

Some ppl use buttermilk and pumpkin seeds. My chickens love to have a split open pumpkin !!!

I wouldn't be comfortable worming so often and eating the eggs...

You could use DE = I do, sprinkle on their food, sprinkle around the coop and in their area's they dust bathe!

I just ordered some DE from Wolf Creek Ranch, b/c I haven't been able to fine any locally. I was impressed w/ their quick delivery. It came the very next day.

Its very expensive to ship - I get my in-laws to bring me some every time they visit - I've got a 50 pound bag waiting and one 50pound bag half done.....
