I've been taking my pullets (Americana and Rhode Island Red) out in intervals, fifteen to twenty minutes of play, holding and petting then two hours or so back in the brooder for napping, eating and drinking.
Is that too much? They really don't seem to mind and I do raise the room temperature up for them. I've read you should try to socialize them early and frequently but am I over doing it?
Another question, the Americana pullet is turning out to be the bravest and most curious thing ever. She examines everything close up without fear, pecks and jumps everywhere too. I've found her on my head somehow! She even chases after my fingers when I wiggle them and we starting to play tag. Are all Americanas like this? Do they continue to act so into maturity? Or am I just lucky? Haha.
Thanks in advance folks, sorry if my questions are a bit dull. Like many others Im just starting out.
