I had to worm my chickens awhile back and there were so many replies and so much information...some contradictory to others. I posted another thread about finding a company to mail a poo sample to to make sure that i got all the worms when they were wormed. When does everyone worm their chickens?

I want to be sure I understand this:

in April you give a dose of Wazine , then follow up with ivermectin? Just 1 dose of the Wazine? one application will take care of the worms?

I would like know about worming too? What, you hold there eggs after that? I am so lost about this, I don't want anything to happen to my birds.
Thanks

It depends on your soil conditions how often you worm. Warm, moist soil may require more worming periods than mountainous or cold soil in northern climates, or dry desert type soils. Due to our warm soil here most of the year, I worm every 3 months, sometimes sooner.
Valbazen and safeguard are mainly what I use.
