Both my buff orpington and barred rock pullets began laying in the 19'th to 20'th weeks.
Then, just a couple of weeks later, one of my buff orpington pullets decided to go broody, and three weeks later, she successfully hatched three of the barred rocks' pullets. Those barred rock/EE mix babies were born one day before their egg mother turned 25 weeks old!
